      <image:title>About | Riverbend Grief Coaching | United States</image:title>
<image:caption>Patti has been drawn to supporting others with grief for many reasons. She experienced her own losses, including that of her biological father who died when she was 3½, her mother and step-father, as well as the father of her children. She also lost her home to a fire. These experiences led her to learn about grief; the many forms it comes in, the gifts it brings, and what one might expect while grieving. Her life experience has also instilled a deep respect for the resilience and wisdom which can accompany life’s most difficult circumstances. She has extensive experience in guiding and supporting others through grief and loss. Patti currently works at the Dempsey Center in South Portland and Lewiston, Maine where she leads support groups for people who lost a loved one to cancer. She also works with people who struggle with the loss of their own health as they knew it prior to their cancer diagnosis, among other responsibilities. Patti interned in graduate school and then volunteered at The Center for Grieving Children where every moment spent there added to her knowledge and experience.</image:caption>
